Frequently Asked Questions

Travel can be overwhelming, especially solo or with kids. These are the questions I’m asked most often—answered honestly, from real experience.

Who is Wander Within Travel for?

Wander Within Travel is for women ready to explore the world—and themselves.
Whether you’re:

  • Traveling solo for the first time

  • A single mom adventuring with your kids

  • Seeking a soulful, life-changing experience

…these trips are designed to help you feel confident, empowered, and fully alive.

Do I need travel experience?

Not at all. Many of the women I work with are first-time travelers or first-time solo travelers. I guide you through everything so you’re not trying to figure it out alone.

What if I don’t know where to start?

That’s exactly where most women begin. You don’t need a destination picked or a plan figured out. We start with a conversation about what you’re craving, your comfort level, and your budget, and build from there step by step.

What types of trips do you plan?

I specialize in soulful, immersive travel experiences, including:

  • Solo female adventures

  • Single-mom and family trips

  • Cultural immersions and retreats

  • Nature escapes and beach getaways

  • Customized itineraries for self-discovery and personal growth

Each trip is tailored to your pace, comfort, and interests.

How safe is solo travel for women?

Solo travel can be very safe with the right planning and awareness. I help you choose safe destinations, accommodations, transportation, and teach practical safety habits so you can travel confidently instead of fearfully.

I provide guidance on:

  • Travel insurance and emergency planning

  • Safe accommodations and transportation

  • Navigating new cities

  • Trusting your instincts

“Your intuition is your best travel companion—listen to it.”

How do you support single moms traveling with kids?

I’m a single mom myself, and I’ve traveled solo and with my children. I help with kid-friendly destinations, realistic pacing, packing tips, safety planning, and activities that create connection instead of stress. Traveling with kids can be deeply meaningful when it’s done intentionally.

What is your role versus booking on my own?

You can absolutely book a trip on your own. My role is to simplify the process, reduce overwhelm, and guide you with real-world experience. I help you make informed decisions, avoid common mistakes, and feel supported before and during your trip. And beyond logistics, I’m there when you need me, whether that’s emotional support, a listening ear, or honest advice as you navigate the experience. You’re not doing this alone.

How do I start planning with you?

It starts with a conversation. We talk about your goals, fears, budget, and what kind of experience you want. From there, we build a plan that feels doable, exciting, and aligned with your life.

I’m nervous about traveling alone—how do I overcome fear?

Fear is normal! I help clients:

  • Start small with day trips or weekend adventures

  • Build confidence with practical tips

  • Shift mindset from fear to curiosity

  • Celebrate every step toward independence

“Traveling solo is transformative. It builds courage, self-trust, and joy.”

What makes your trips different?

  • Personalized mentorship: I’ve walked this path as a solo traveler and single mom.

  • Soulful experiences: Trips nourish your mind, body, and spirit.

  • Family-friendly options: Traveling with kids is an adventure, not a limitation.

  • No sugar-coating: Honest advice and support without judgment.

What if I get lonely traveling alone?

  • Loneliness can happen, but so can deep connection. Many women find solo travel surprisingly empowering. You learn to enjoy your own company, meet people naturally, and listen to yourself in a way everyday life rarely allows.

What if I feel guilty leaving my kids?

  • Guilt is common, especially for moms. We talk through this together. Guilt doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong, it means you care. You’re allowed to be both a devoted mom and a woman with dreams.
